What inspires and motivates you?

See, being me, I'm interested in what others say about their art and what really inspires (or aspires) them. Most of my art life I've had trouble actually getting started with a piece and usually completing a piece. People have recommended I disconnect myself completely from the internet on my Art computer, which does in fact work (done recently). But really, I need something to be inspired by to get going, I usually come on dA and look through some art and opinions. Over the last 2-3 months I've been caught between doing Web Development and going to an Art School in Taita, New Zealand. I would love to do Art / Illustration for a living, instead of something boring like code.

So really, what inspires and motivates you to start and finish a piece?

Depressed I think. Only cause I'm at a point where I can't decide what to do for a career. Well, I have the options, I just can't pick one. I weally weally weally want be a pefesuonal artist when I grew up :3.

Awww...:hug: I was on the same stoop not so long ago. :C i reckon that you should try all three of them. that way, you'll learn a plethora of skills (doesn't matter if they don't seem relevant) and you'll be at a high advantage when it comes to looking for a spot in the industry! that's what i'm planning to do xD

nice, you should have saved up your government welfare money for a Cintiq 21UX. I just found out they have a new model of it that is as good as the 12WX, but of course with the more kickass bigger screen and resolution.

a) am not on welfare, it's a student allowance.
b) worked over the summer for my 12WX.

But yeah, when I get to use my 12WX, I love it. I don't think I'll ever be able to touch a normal tablet again.
